Founded in 2009 by Brandy McCombs and Jeff Pollock, IBC has grown from humble beginnings into a multimillion-dollar enterprise with 150 employees and three offices in Kansas City.
Today, IBC consists of two businesses: IBC Carpentry, specializing in interior finish contracting, and IBC Traffic, offering road striping and traffic control services.
Together, Brandy and Jeff have laid the groundwork for IBC's success and continue to evolve, guided by the company’s core values: Innovation, Balance, and Collaboration.
Meet The Team
CEO
Brandy McCombs may be one of few women working in construction, but she's built a name for herself in the industry. Since founding IBC from her home in 2009, she's led the company from humble beginnings to multimillion-dollar growth in just a few short years.
In 2023, Brandy was named the first woman chair of The Builders, a chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC). She has held board seats in various organizations throughout the Kansas City region, including Lee's Summit Economic Development Council (LSEDC).

Jeff brings a wealth of hands-on experience in both residential and commercial construction. He's been the driving force behind countless projects, guiding them from start to finish. Known for his innovative approach and unwavering reliability, Jeff has a knack for getting things done efficiently. With top-notch multitasking and time management skills, he's all about making sure every detail is spot-on. Plus, his keen eye for analysis means he can tackle any challenge head-on, crafting smart and ethical solutions every time.

Chief Strategy Officer
Heather started with IBC in September of 2018 as a Project Coordinator. In the past five years she has shown great enthusiasm to grow and has held five different positions. Now she leads IBC as the Chief Strategy Officer for IBC Carpentry LLC. Her passion for stewardship can be found in all that she touches from process improvement to company culture. Heather strives to keep IBC moving forward for years to come, we are lucky to have her as part of the team.

Estimator
Eric is an experienced estimator with a background rooted in commercial carpentry construction. With years of hands-on knowledge as a journeyman carpenter, foreman, and superintendent, Eric brings a wealth of field experience to the table. He's your go-to guy for all things estimating, with proficiency in various software platforms like Construct Connect, Excel, and Foundation Software.
Director of Operations
John has first-hand knowledge of what it takes to complete a project in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner. After years in the field, John’s skills for organization, planning, and team building were recognized. Each day, John works to set his team members up for success through excellent communication and strategic planning and implementation.

Steve is a seasoned pro with over 36 years of experience in manufacturing, construction management, and sales. Throughout his career, Steve has mastered the art of building strong customer relationships, navigating contract negotiations with ease, and expertly managing projects from start to finish.
Steve Farnsworth
Preconstruction Manager
Milan works as an estimator where he supports senior estimators on all projects. In addition to his estimating duties, Milan also manages all IT equipment. Originally from Kansas City, he brings a strong work ethic and dedication to every task.

Freddie’s craftsmanship, leadership, and foresight have been an asset to the IBC Carpentry team for several years. After years of robust contribution, Freddie was promoted from foreman to general superintendent so his abilities could be utilized in a way that impacts the field team and daily operations more substantially.
Operations Coordinator
Ariana Tormes joined IBC in May 2024 after recently earning her bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on management from William Jewell College. As the Operations Coordinator, Ariana brings strong organizational skills and a fresh perspective to enhance team efficiency.

Shaun is a highly skilled administrator with vast technical expertise. Shaun's positive attitude is one of her strongest qualities, which she combines with her extensive knowledge, unwavering professionalism, and excellent communication skills to deliver high-quality work.
